Where to start?

1. Doctor’s office

You can get a medical examination certificate about no contraindications to driving vehicles at our doctor’s office. Price for the medical examination is 200 PLN. Check the available dates for doctor’s examination at Safe Driving here. Due to limited number please be sure to make an online reservation (24/7) or call our office during working hours.

2. County office / City Hall

At the Departament of Motor Vehicles you submit:

• The application form for a driving licence
• Medical certificate
• One photograph (a colour biometric photograph)
• Parental consent (only if you are underage)

These allow you to obtain a PKK number – candidate profile number

3. Safe Driving

You deliver a PKK number to Safe Driving’s office and after that you can start the course. I have a PKK, what next?

4. Safe Driving’s office

The course begins by filling up the application form. You choose a specific course and read the rules. Your PKK number needs to be included in the application. As a gift, you receive from us a two-month access to a special platform with tests, and also an e-book for better preparation to state examination in order to pass the exam easily.

5. Theoretical exam at WORD

Before you take the practical exam you need to pass the theory test in Provincial Road Traffic Center. The exam is a multiple choice test consisting of 32 questions (basic part – 20, specialized part – 12). The maximum score is 74 points but you need 68 to pass the test. You have 25 minutes to answer all the questions, the procedure takes place in Provincial Road Traffic Center in Wrocław, 12 Łagiewnicka street.

6. Driving

The next step after you pass the test is to take part in first aid training and then practical part (30 hours in total). We begin with the basics: vehicle maintenance, proper driving technique, practicing on the maneuvering area. Next stage is driving around the city, learning state examination requirements and practical advice on road safety.

We can offer different options:

• Standard (min. 4 hours of driving per week guaranteed, you can use more hours depending of availability)
• Individual (min. 5 hours of driving per week guaranteed)

The whole process of training ends up with a free internal exam, which is conducted according to the rules of state examination.

7. Verifying time – state examination

WORD’s office

There is no location rule, you can take the exam anywhere you want: Poznań, Łódź, Warszawa. We prefer Wrocław. To sign up for the exam you need to have an ID card and a PKK number with an entry about the completed course, which you will receive after passing our internal exam.

8. Practical examination

Theoretical exam is already passed so now you just need to take the practical driving test. The examination begins with pointing out where to turn on/off lights and where is one of the operating fluids/ engine oil placed in a car. Next step is preparing to drive, adjusting the seat, mirrors etc. Then you have to drive forward and backward in the lane without mistakes, and also to drive up the hill on the maneuvering area. The final step is driving around the city for at least 40 minutes. In case you get all the tasks done positively, driving can last shorter but at least 25 minutes.

9. Receiving driving licence

After you pass state exam, you can apply for driving licence at the Department of Motor Vehicles. You have to pay 100,50 PLN to the appropriate bank account number. Waiting time for the document to be issued is about 2 weeks after you pay the fee. Be reminded that according to law you are allowed to drive after you receive driving licence at hte Department.
